Welcome to my Website!

Please read this first!

If you're a fellow artist, developer, entrepreneur or marginalized person then you're in the right place. You may find some insight on my journey into making stuff! This site is a place for me document my progress as a beginner artist, dev, whatever, whatever. I do a lot of things. Too many things. I crochet, knit, stream games, draw, tint and wax eyebrows, do lash extensions, facials, hair and makeup, etc. I've worked in the beauty industry for seven years.

Why the sudden change into development? The cosmetic retail industry broke my back a bit and I mean that literally. Turns out standing all day with your hands working can do a number on your muscles. I'm going to school for development now and I'm not looking back. Well maybe, I'll still do some beauty shenanigans on the side. Both are my passion.

I will always love art, all things considered. I'm inspired by anime such as Sailor Moon, Cowboy Bebop and Inuyasha. I also love western cartoons such as Steven Universe, Owl House and Shera. My favourite webcomics are Go Get a Roomie and Homestuck (I'm sorry lol) and my absolute favourite games are Undertale and Deltarune. I'm still haven't played the new OFF and I'm excited to! Other games I want to play include Yume Nikki, Earthbound, Omori, One Shot and more.

So, I love so much art then why don't I create art?!?! It's not so easy... Even when I was learning to do all those beauty things, it took me many years to even become mediocre in the subject. I'm still wouldn't call myself a beauty expert to be honest. Even with years of experience, I feel like a hobbyist.

So is the solution really to learn a new skill? I don't know. I don't have all the answers. I just knew if I didn't make a switch soon, my back wouldn't be able to take it. So, since I love games and want to create them, I thought development would be the next best thing.

Now I know playing games and making them are two different ball parks. But with extensive research I've decided to spend the next 3-5 years in school. That might be the best way for me to learn. There are other paths such as self teaching, which are probably better. But since I'm so late to it and have a short attention span, I figured school would be the kick in the butt for me.

I love art and comics and games. I would love more than anything to create one. Maybe even while using my beauty knowledge to improve things. It definitely gives me an eye for design. I'm considering taking a UX/UI course in school to see if it's for me. But my passion lies in making games. I'd also love to start with Web Dev as that can be very interesting as well.

But yeah, that's my ramble. I'm a previous art student who's bad at art, now starting dev. Wish me luck or read more to see how it went!
